Leadership is an action. Specifically, it is the practice of taking actions that enable others to be at their best. Framing decisions through this lens can shape the behaviors you want to emulate.
You might conduct a pre-assessment before a specific event by asking yourself: “What actions can I take in order to help people be at their best?”
After the event, you might self reflect, evaluate, and iterate by asking yourself: ”What actions did I take that helped others be at their best?” and “What actions did I fail to take that would have enabled others to be at their best?” The latter question can be a guide for future action.
